Meet the Team

 I’m 16 and in high school at Lyons Township HS! I joined the With Our Hearts founding team in 2020. I love dancing, reading, and baking in my spare time. At school, I am captain of the Junior Varsity dance team and a member of the Eurythmics dance company. I also dance on the high school team at Impact Dance Studio. My favorite school subjects are science and math. I value education and can share that value through With Our Hearts. I want others to have the same educational opportunities as I have had.

Alexis Jain

I am a high schooler at Lyons Township and a founding member of With Our Hearts. I joined the With Our Hearts founding team in 2020. I play tennis and run cross-country. I compete on LT’s math team and am a Life Scout, one rank below Eagle Scout. I love learning about math and science, but specifically physics and engineering. As a part of With Our Hearts, I can share my love of learning with others and help all students gain the same access to education. 

Andrew Jain

I’m 16 years old and in 10th grade. I joined the With Our Hearts founding team in 2020. I am a big fan of math and science and love to walk my dog, play games with my friends, and read in my spare time. I value education a lot, and I believe that all children should have equal learning opportunities. That’s what I strive to do through With Our Hearts.

Gavin Bender

I’m 12 years old, in 7th grade, and go to Stanford Online High School. I co-founded With Our Hearts in 2020 and have been a member of the Founding Team since then. I’m in a middle school swim team and Deputy 4 in Taekwondo. I love history, reading, and writing! I want to share my love of learning with children all over the world, especially those who do not have access to modern learning technologies, a wide variety of books, and quality teachers.

Nimisha Saraiya

I'm 14 years old and attending Stanford Online High School. I co-founded With Our Hearts in 2020 and have been a member of the Founding Team since then. I am a Hunter/Jumper Equestrian, Deputy 4 in Taekwondo, runner, baker, and writer. I love learning a lot! My favorite subjects are Math, Chemistry, and Biology. The reason I co-founded With Our Hearts is because I want to give all underprivileged children around the world the best future they could possibly create for themselves. With Our Hearts provides these children with educational opportunities that impoverished communities cannot afford. We believe that with a good education, these children will be able to change the future handed to them and create a better future for themselves.

Why we need your help

Education is one of the most significant predictors of success; it offers an escape from poverty and a path to a better life. In a world as technologically advanced as today’s, providing every child with a basic education should be guaranteed. Yet, according to UNICEF, more than 60 million primary-school-aged children are still out of school. Millions more are getting left behind in school. Underprivileged students lack the same resources as their counterparts, and they are denied the same opportunities. The future of the world is in the hands of these kids. Their education today (or lack of it) will determine humanity’s future. Help us create a world in which all children can get an education. Help us create a world where every child can learn to their full potential. Help us protect the future.

With Our Hearts works to provide students with all the resources they need to succeed. Whether that be Chromebooks, ACT/SAT Prep, Tutoring, Meals, or even a school building, we want to ensure every student is able to gain an education
